The Circuit Clerk preserves filed charges, dockets, dispositions, and certified case documents. Illinois State Police maintains the fingerprint-linked repository, and separate state systems cover prison custody and registry listings. This site organizes those official channels and explains which one fits each question.

Only the Sheriff, Circuit Clerk, Illinois State Police, or another issuing office can provide its official record. The document must come from its custodian.
